to advance social justice.
Forging critical conversations
about social justice through the arts.

Boston-based beheard.world is a 501(c)(3) organization with a 13-year history producing a rich array of critically acclaimed performances and films with artists of widely diverse ages, races, and aesthetic expression. beheard.world also supports inner-city artists and grassroots arts organizations through creative collaborations. WE ARE EXPANDING!
In 2024, beheard.world opened a satellite office in Selma, Alabama, located at the Elwood Christian Academy, 1 Bell Road, where we just completed our second annual residency and are working to staff year-round afterschool programs in dance, spoken word and filmmaking. Our Selma collaboration is part of an initiative that includes the Selma Cross-Cultural Nonviolence & Performing Arts Academy, Selma schools and a group of Civil Rights veterans to promote nonviolence and the advancement of peace and healing through the performing arts and filmmaking.
